Oh, it was so lovely for a few weeks. It felt like spring had arrived. Daily temperatures were in the 40s and 50s. Almost beach weather, for people like me who wade in the waves, even when it’s chilly.
This morning, we’re back in winter again, with lots of blizzard-ish warnings. The photo, above, is how this community deals with snowy street.
Yes, they’re pretty serious about clearing the roads for safe driving.
Last night at around 8 PM, road crews drove around our cul-de-sac, either salting or sanding. (Or both? It was dark.) Parking bans started last night, too.
This morning, big plows were on our street at 4 AM.
And then the trash collection trucks came through, as if it was a normal day. I guess they don’t get “snow days.”
I’m not really complaining. We may be able to get out this morning for a few snowy photos of my blue-on-blue painting. With such warm weather (mostly, and so far), there haven’t been many winter photo opportunities to continue that series of pictures.
Considering this quirky weather, and the potential for this to be the new normal, I’m not sure where we want to put down roots. We’re not thrilled with our current location, but just a few miles down the coast might make a world of difference.
We’ll see.
Meanwhile, yes, I’m continuing to test my intuitive approach to Wordle. So far, the results far outshine what happens when I rely solely on logic.
Here are some of my recent intuitive results. (Remember: It’s not how quickly I solve Wordle, but how I seem to pull words out of the air, working with very few letters.)
My husband has been testing my intuitive approach (if that’s what it is), after regularly quitting Wordle because he wasn’t guessing the word within six tries. (His schedule is busy, and he has little patience with puzzles he doesn’t solve quickly.)
Two days ago, his Wordle results definitely seemed intuitive. So, he’ll keep testing this.
That’s today’s update. I hope you’re having a fun day, and planning cool adventures!
